Minecraft is a game that is full of exploration, adventure and imagination. You can live in a world of blocks, much like Legos. This allows players to move around however you wish from the first-person view. When we say "however you'd like", we really mean it, as you can accumulate blocks of any kind to use later on for whatever you like.

It's possible to do everything from cutting large chunks of stone to build your home to cutting down trees to build furniture for your home. Or even more complicated projects like wells statues, and structures. The only limit to your creativity is your imagination. Once you've begun, you'll see that there are countless possibilities. However, Minecraft is not just about building things. The other aspect happens at night, when monsters emerge out of their caves, and the game becomes a proper survival horror title. It's then that you must fight gigantic spiders, skeletons and endermen or the terrifying creepers. It's here that you can make use of your bow and arrows or sword.

To survive in the world of Minecraft You'll require more than just a home with a bed, a sword and a few tools. You'll also need food, because your character will be hungry. You'll have to explore your world, as the best materials aren't always lying around in plain view. You'll also need to make the most of the enormous freedom that the game provides.

Visually, Minecraft is not great, as you'll see in the pictures and videos, however its grid-like appearance is necessary for the gameplay to be understood. You can also alter the appearance of the graphics by using mods and skin packs.

Minecraft is the most successful independent game of the past few years. And for good reason. This masterpiece from Notch has managed to get its way into the hearts of millions of players who love it on all of its available platforms: iOS, Android, Xbox 360, Linux, Mac, and (of course) Windows.
