When we think of massage we often imagine the massage therapist slipping into our bodies and gently pulling knots out. However, it is important to remember that a massage is a full body experience that includes the whole body which includes all of our joints muscles, tendons ligaments, bones, and other structures. Massage can cause mechanical tension, which is designed to increase muscle flexibility leading to increased range of movement, decreased static flexibility, and greater active flexibility (biomechanical theories). Massage can reduce soreness and increase blood flow to affected regions.

There are many different ways to describe massage, but the term is typically employed in conjunction with the practice of physical therapy or bodywork. The tension generated through the strokes of massage is what changes the biochemical and cellular exchange. There are three primary types of massages - deep tissue massage, an auto-vibration or a vibration technique and a compression type. Deep tissue massage is focused on the superficial layers of tissues that are close to the skin's surface. While vibration and auto-vibration techniques draw deep tissue, this massage focuses on the surface layers.

Although therapeutic massage therapy can be beneficial in the management of chronic pain, it cannot solve the root of the problem. Research has proven this. Since the beginning of time massage therapy has been used to treat various diseases, such as sore joints, cancer, and depression. Actually, the Chinese have been treating the pain for centuries. The concept of pain itself was first introduced in China. Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture both employ massage therapy as a part of a whole-body treatment program. There has been some recent evidence to suggest that the use of acupuncture could be beneficial for some forms of chronic pain.

Massage techniques change the electrical signals inside the body, causing specific muscles or tissues to become stiff or grow. This may help reduce tension and create a more relaxation feeling. Aromatherapy involves applying aromatherapy oils on specific areas of the skin which are known to ease tension or relax. If you're not able to pay for massage treatments, massage methods can produce similar results.

The same principles as therapeutic massage are employed for compression massage. The technique lengthens muscles by compressing them. Massage the muscles that are compressed releases endorphins, the body's "happy" hormones. This has been known to ease pain and improving the capability to deal with stress. 대구출장마사지 There is evidence that suggests this approach could lessen the duration and severity of injuries sustained during sports.

A further application of massage's benefits is in the treatment of injuries from sports especially during a warm up or cool down. Warm up sessions are designed to relax the muscles, boost blood flow, and stretch the muscles. The goal of a cool-down session is to decrease the effect of stretching and increase the length of muscles. Both methods have similar benefits.

The use of biomechanical stimulation massage has recently become increasingly popular in the sport industry. This method makes application of mechanical and electric pressure to relax the muscles of the body. Bio mechanical stimulation is based on the premise that the body operates through biological systems that are biomechanical in nature. These are the result of how the body works and how tissues respond to inputs from both the nervous system (and the brain). When certain parts of the body are tight, the nerves receive signals from the brain something is not right.

A further application of the benefits of massage therapy is for the alleviation of discomfort. This is often observed in professional sports where athletes are treated to specific massage therapy in order to lessen pain and inflammation. Sometimes, it can be found in massage chairs where a patient may want to decrease inflammation in the spine to ease a herniated disc or other back discomfort.
