Himalayan Salt is considered to be a kind of semi-precious stone that originated from the region called the Himalayas. The name Himalayas was given to the region because of the fact that the Himalayas are the highest mountains on the earth. Himalayan salt comes from the Himalayas region and is mined in the Pakistan region. This semi-precious salt has a deep blue color due to mineral impurities, however, the coloring is not permanent.

Pink Himalayan Salt is mined from the Kashmir region of India. It is known to have a red or pink tint because of mineral impurities. It is mainly used as an ornamental material as table salt or for food presentation, decorating, and spa treatment. It is available in different forms such as granular, liquid, crystal and dry.

Pink salt is available in powder form or as a paste and is also known as pink powder or pink granules. These powder forms are used mainly in cooking. The pink granules may be used for garnishing and making spa and aromatherapy treatments in a home spa setting. Other uses of the pink Himalayas include cosmetic packaging in cosmetics, spa kits, and decorative salt lamps.

Pink Himalayan Salt is relatively soft and absorbent when compared to its more traditional counterparts. It may not be suitable for some people with sensitive skin. For people with this type of skin, they may need to dilute it before applying to the skin. To make the product more absorbent, some users have suggested applying it after it has cooled down. It also depends on the thickness of the skin, as some people may find it more absorbent than others. It will depend on the natural body oils present on the skin. People with oily skin will find that they need to dilute the salt more while those with dry skin can use a less amount.

Because the pink Himalayas are harder to absorb and dissolve, many salt users prefer using pink salt. In addition, because of its hardness, pink salt tends to be slightly less expensive than the normal salt varieties. Although there are no significant differences between the types of salt; pink Himalayas can still be differentiated from one another by the way in which they have been formed.

As mentioned, pink Himalayan Salt may not be appropriate for people with sensitive skin. In addition, there is no significant difference in the appearance of each type of salt. If you want to be able to differentiate between the different types of Himalayas, you may use the color test kit provided by your local health store. It can be used for both liquid and powder forms.
