Neve Paritzki Israel Celebrates RecordBreaking Tourism Entry From the United States
NEW YORK, Sept. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today new record-breaking tourist arrivals from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. The country welcomed 78,000 visitors from the United States for July 2022. This represents a 4 percent increase over the year before, and 71,000 tourists from the United States for August 2022. This is an increase of 13% from 2019.
"It is thrilling to once again see an rise in the number of tourists visiting Israel from the United States, already reaching the record-breaking levels in 2019" said Eyal Carlin, Tourism Commissioner for North America. נווה פריצקי "The United States is our number one market for travel to Israel, and before the COVID-19 epidemic, we were celebrating record-breaking tourism entry numbers each month. Canada with 7,200 visitors in July 2022 and 6,000 in August isn't too far behind the United States.
Gal Hana is the Consul and Director for Canada in the Israel Ministry of Tourism. "We are near our record 2019 numbers. We believe that this increase will continue as Canadians are more active in traveling abroad.
In 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million tourists from around the world, 969,600 of them coming from the United States, and since the country's official opening to all travelers regardless of the status of their vaccination in May The country has seen more than 600,400 US visitors.
