How To Reset Player Data On Your Minecraft Server

A file is created for each player who has connected to your servers. It contains information such as their location and inventory data. Sometimes when things go wrong on the server, you're required to delete a player's data file to resolve the issue. After deleting their player file, they will be able to connect as if it were a new player.



These steps will allow you to reset player data on your server.



Before proceeding with any tutorial that requires manipulating server files, always have your server offline to prevent corruption!



1. First, we need the UUID for the player. Go to https://namemc.com/ to enter the Minecraft Name of your player to reset the data. minecraft servers



The Universally Unique Identifier, also known as UUID, is a unique identifier that each player receives when they join a server. This allows for easy access to player information, item storage, and access to player-related information.



1. Once you have located your player, a UUID is displayed under their name. Similar to the image above. To make it easy to find later, write down the UUID on a sticky note or notepad.



2. Go to your ServerMiner Control Panel. Click on File Manager. If you have some experience with FTPs, these steps can also be copied to FileZilla.



3. Enter the folder of whichever world you currently have loaded onto your server. If you aren't sure which world to use, you can view the Minecraft Worlds tab on the ServerMiner Control panel to find out.



4. Navigate to the playerdata folder and enter it, this is where all the data (Inventory/Positions) of the players who join your server are stored.



5. If there aren’t enough files, you can use the shortcut Ctrl+F to search for the player UUID. Refer to the UUID you have written down to find it. MINECRAFT To search for the UUID, you can also use the shortcut CTRL+F. MINECRAFT Once you find it, click the checkbox to delete it.
